2022 Meetings

Hi everyone,

We are excited to invite all of you to join us at our upcoming New Mexico Water Conservation Alliance meeting on Wednesday, 9/21, from 11 am – 1 pm. We have an exciting agenda planned with Andrew Erdmann in his new role as the State’s Water Planner, leading us off to talk about the State Water Plan for the State or New Mexico. He will be followed by a presentation by the Bureau of Reclamation on mandatory conservation efforts along the Colorado River Basin. Both presentations will help the membership understand the work being done currently to conserve water, reduce demand and expand reuse and recycling of water supplies in the region. The Albuquerque City Water Utility Authority (ABCWUA) and the City of Santa Fe are among several cities in New Mexico who are signatories to an agreement to join in the commitment to increasing water-use efficiency and reducing the demand for water in the lower basins of the Colorado River. The presentations will help set the background for a roundtable with the membership on ways we are attempting to meet the water challenges at hand.
